Jennifer adds an important element to our team with her unique writing skills and financial mind. Jennifer enjoys learning the complexities, facts and goals of your family law matter, and cohesively presenting these matters to the court. Moreover, Jennifer is extremely adept at assessing your families’ assets, debts, and crafting any discovery which may be needed in order to gain a fair and accurate picture of your families’ finances. Jennifer understands the emotional upheaval family law matters can bring, and prides herself on supporting clients through a difficult time with personal attention and respect.

Jennifer was born in Sedalia, Missouri and raised in Burlington, Iowa. Jennifer attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy.  While at Webster University, Jennifer was a  research assistant to Professor Katherine Parsons and assisted in establishing the first Ethics program at Webster University with emphasis on moral ethics, medical ethics, and environmental ethics.  Jennifer was also the President of the Philosophy Club at Webster University  from 2000–2001.  In 2003 Jennifer moved to Los Angeles and attended Southwestern Law School.  During her time at Southwestern, Jennifer was on the Dean’s List;  was the President of OUTlaw and was a member National Lawyers Guild. After graduating from law school and being admitted to the California bar in 2006, Jennifer was hired as an Associate with Law Office of Lucy Avedissian (Immigration Practice focusing on Family, Employment and Asylum issues).  In 2008, Jennifer began to pursue the practice of family law at Lizarraga Law, APC, and was with Lizarraga Law until October 2018.  In October 2018 Jennifer joined the team at Maya Shulman Family Law Group.
